Ephemera Art

A little late for St. Patrick's Day but I really loved this image.  This paper collection is "Time to Flourish" from Graphic 45.  It measures 6 x 6.

This background paper is from Authentique, the bird and friendship ephemera are from K and Company I believe and I added a coffee died doily that I did a year ago.  The little seed packet I got on clearance in the papercraft department but don't remember where.   I thought they were so cute. This also measures 6 x 6 I have been working on spring projects because I have had enough of winter!  I need some summer images to get me thru the rest of the cold spell until I can go outside and play in the dirt!

I was doing some cleaning in my craft room and came across these little seed packets I bought somewhere on clearance.  I had some corrugated cardboard I have been saving for an art project.  I put a layer of gesso on it, added a paper doily, button, and some text torn from an old book.  Added the seed packet and flower for a mini art piece.  It is 4 1/2 x 5 1/4.  I thought it turned out nice!  I think I will do some others with the remaining seed packets.

Precious Memories Mini Album

I had an order from the craft show for an album for a baby girl.  I thought the beautiful Precious Memories  paper collection from Graphic 45 would be perfect.  The pictures don't do the paper justice.  It is beautiful with a peachy pink and soft blue.

I made a gate fold album inspired by Ginger at My Sister's Scrapper.  It was a lot of fun to make.

At the Show!

Here is my table set up at the Avant-Garde Show.  I didn't realize my tablecloth was sooo wrinkled until I saw the pictures afterwards!  Hopefully no one else noticed! :)

Wedding Album

This is a wedding album I made for the craft show.  It sold early in the day and someone else wanted to see it so I am posting it on my blog in case someone is interested in ordering something similar.  Thank you to all the people that came out to the craft show and thank you to all of you that stopped and looked at my items.  I enjoyed meeting other crafters and the shoppers that came out to support us!  It made for an enjoyable first craft show for me!

Avant-Garde Show

I thought I would share a few of the items that will be for sale at the show.  I am having so much fun decorating Altoid tins so I will have quite a few of those for sale along with albums and CD Christmas ornaments.

Inside the tin is a mini, mini album with journaling spots.

This is the underside of the Paris tin . . .

and the inside

and this is the mini journal/album with a rose charm.

The inside of the sewing tin.  This one doesn't have a journal just little bits of lace and sewing ephemera.

I made CD Christmas ornaments a few years ago and the ladies at our church seemed to really like them so I thought I would make some for the show and see how they do.

They are calling for rain on the day of the show but hopefully it won't keep people away!  What better thing to do on a rainy day than go shopping for handmade items!  Never to soon to start Christmas shopping!

Craft Show

I'm going to be in my first craft show with my paper crafts!  It is the Avant-Garde Show in Columbus, Ohio.  I'm really looking forward to it; just a lot of unknowns being my first show.

Today I finished up the banner for my table front.  I made it from old CD's that I have been collecting over the years.  I hot glued the CD's to a piece of burlap and lace covered ribbon.  I then cut circles from kraft paper and glued on some paper lace doilies.  Then I used some alphabet stencils I have had for years and years to trace onto scrapbook paper in various colors and cut them out.  I sponged around everything with brown ink.  I'm really happy with how it turned out.  I had it hanging on my table most of the day to make sure nothing was going to fall off before the craft show.

Raining Cats and Dogs

I just LOVE this Graphic 45 paper "Raining Cats and Dogs".  I will let the pictures speak for themselves.
